Persboskolan, Västerås
From August 2019 we have a mobile-free school. We started with a mobile ban for yokes 5-6 this spring and it produced good results. Reduced violations during school hours. Every elementary school should have mobile-free I think.

Entrance school, Västerås
We have free of charge throughout the school day from the start of the semester this autumn. The social interaction is much better and more positive now, the students talk to each other, play ping pong and cards and it is much more fun!

Jensens, Västerås
We have been mobile-free throughout the school day and have been mobile-free for over two years now. Mobile-free has only advantages! Full focus during lessons, nothing that distracts and that social interaction increased during breaks.

Knowledge School, Västerås
We have been mobile-free for over three years and that is a matter of course for us. The students are 14% of their waking time in school and then they need to concentrate on the school's 17 subjects which is our main mission.

Fryxellska school, Västerås
We are introducing mobile-free school day for year 6-9 v 45. Year 4-5 has had it for many years. We have discussed with staff, student councils and parenting councils. The mobiles have disturbed teaching and take up too much space on breaks at the expense of movement, conversation and rest.

Karlberg School, Köping
We have completely mobile-free lessons since last school year. We also try to remove the mobiles during lectures, student performances and the like. We have never had a complete mobile ban at school, as we do not think that we would be able to comply with that rule.

Malmaskolan, Kolsva
The students at the lower and middle stages hand in the phone to the teacher in the morning, at the high school the students leave the phones in their lockers. They are not allowed to come into the classroom. Not a big issue in school day.

Tunbos School, Kolbäck
In year 4-6, the mobiles are collected in the morning by the teachers and then stored throughout the school day in a locked cabinet. At the secondary level, each teacher decides how to handle the mobiles, but they must not in any way interfere with the teaching. In a way, we have a partial mobile ban.

Park School, Hallstahammar
The teacher decides how the mobile should be handled, usually collected. However, we do not force any student. I think you need to ask yourself before setting up a ban, what it requires from the school staff. The focus can easily be on what happens if you break that rule and then we need to think about consequences. It must be reasonable.
