“According to the health department of the Novocherkassk administration, the stoppage of patients at the Specialized Infectious Diseases Hospital is related to the dismissal of hospital doctors who previously worked in the hospital,” the RIA Novosti press service quotes.

According to the representative of the city administration, three doctors of the inpatient department worked in the hospital, who in November wrote letters of resignation of their own free will.

Two of them are over 70 years old.

“The paramedical staff of the medical institution is at work, fulfilling the duties of treating patients in the inpatient unit of the infectious diseases hospital,” the Novocherkassk mayor’s office emphasized.

According to the decision of the regional Ministry of Health, new patients will be served in hospitals in Aksay and in Rostov-on-Don.

On November 18, it became known that the transplantologist Mikhail Kaabak and his colleague Nadezhda Babenko were fired from the National Medical Research Center for Children's Health (NCHD).

Later, by decision of the head of the Ministry of Health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova, the specialists were returned to the group of transplantologists of the children's center.
