It is reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that at many gas stations in the country, including gas stations in Beirut, there are signs with the inscription "Strike in connection with the financial crisis." Many roads in the Lebanese capital are currently empty.

According to reports, gas station owners have been on strike for about a day.

It is specified that on the streets of Beirut, activists of popular movements hold spontaneous rallies and restrict traffic.

As the agency indicates, gas station owners suffer financial losses, since banks do not give out the necessary amount of dollars to buy gasoline, while buyers pay in national currency, and the difference in the exchange rate of the central bank and the black market where you can buy dollars is already 500-700 pounds.

On October 29, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced his resignation during mass demonstrations in the country.

It was noted that from October 17, demonstrators in Lebanon blocked roads and barricaded routes between regions of the country, calling for, among other things, the dissolution of the government and parliament.
