Germany Audi to reduce 9,500 employees November 27th 7:51

Audi, part of Volkswagen, a major German automaker, has announced that it will reduce its staff by 9,500 by 2025. The Japanese yen will reduce costs by about 720 billion yen and promote structural reforms for sustainable growth.

Audi announced on August 26 that it will cut 9500 out of approximately 60,000 employees in Germany by 2025.

As a result, it will be possible to reduce costs by 6 billion euros in the next 10 years and approximately 720 billion yen in Japanese yen.

On the other hand, in order to respond to the production of electric vehicles and the introduction of IT, it will create new jobs for up to 2000 people.

Audi has been forced to struggle with competitors such as Daimler and BMW since the problem of installing unauthorized software on diesel vehicles was discovered in order to escape exhaust gas regulations.

According to the announced personnel reduction plan, Audi says it is part of a structural reform aimed at sustainable growth.

In the German automotive industry, a plan to reduce the number of employees, such as reducing 10% of managers at Daimler, was announced on the 14th of this month.
