If we believe the Sunday Journal , there could be many more. Joël Le Scouarnec has in fact exercised in 18 hospitals during his 30 years of career, and not five, as it was thought until now. The notebooks, which he himself kept, show the extent of the affair.
Crimes retranscribed in notebooks
The doctor has scrupulously recorded several hundred of his crimes on paper. He listed the names of 246 victims in two small notebooks: one for girls, one for boys. Names accompanied by a story of what he did to them.
In addition, for 30 years, he kept a diary where he talks about his crimes and his pedophile impulses, which he fully assumes. In this journal, he also evokes cases that are not mentioned in the two small notebooks.

For teacher Francesca Satta, the lawyer of the girl's parents who helped to unmask the surgeon, we will probably discover other victims. "We are in a major file where we will exceed the 250. We are at the beginning of a dizzying affair, which will be a little more in the weeks to come," she says.
The investigation will have to determine how, during thirty years, the surgeon benefited from immunity, even from complicities in these 18 hospitals, whereas he had been condemned a first time in 2005 for detention of images child pornography.
