Berlin (AP) - With a performance by rock star Sting as a highlight of the new pop music award "International Music Awards" in Berlin celebrated its premiere. The Briton was honored in the evening for his life's work as front man of The Police and as a solo artist with the "Hero" Award. Sting received the award from Udo Lindenberg, who had previously been awarded the Courage Prize for his political stance. IMA awards also went to Calvi, Herndon, Rammstein, US rapper Tierra Whack, soul singer Lizzo, anti-Brexit activist Slowthai and US newcomer Billie Eilish.
