CSIF and CCOO filed a complaint on Friday before the Labor Inspectorate against the ONCE delegation in Madrid after the body of a vendor from the blind organization was found in a kiosk of the company whose disappearance had been reported by his family ten days before. Both unions accuse ONCE of violation of labor laws and regulations.

The company, according to the CSIF union in a statement collected by Efe, has not yet given explanations about the death of the seller, MRG, whose body was found by the cleaning service of the company on the night of November 4-5 in the interior of the ONCE point of sale in front of the number 26 of the street of Hilarión Eslava, in the district of Chamberí.

The disappearance of this person was reported by his family on October 25, so he could have been deceased for ten days inside the kiosk where he was found.

In the brief, it is requested that the infractions that may have been incurred due to the death of a coupon seller in one of the company's kiosks be sanctioned.

The day after the discovery of the body, the two unions requested a meeting of the Health and Safety Committee to discuss what happened after the disappearance of this seller.

Five days later, on November 11, the president of this committee and in turn head of coordination of Human Resources informed that the holding of such a meeting was not "due to lack of sufficient information to pronounce on these facts," he adds in the note.

CSIF and CCOO have learned that the Slavic Hilarion kiosk where the body was found did not have the deceased, MRG, who in the third quarter information provided by the company contained a single point of sale in Santa Engracia street , 64.

However, the "official" seller of the Slavic Hilarion kiosk was working since May at the point of sale of Guzmán el Bueno, 139, replacing its owner, so it is likely that the deceased was selling coupons at the Hilarion kiosk Slavic

The two unions request that the company officially verify all these extremes, as well as when the management knew the disappearance of this person, what interventions were made to locate him, if he went to the kiosk and if his key was available; when the appearance of the body was known, if a procedure has been opened to determine if it should be considered as a work accident or if it is appropriate to compensate its heirs.

The information provided to the two trade union sections "produces confusion, is not true or up to date," says the complaint, adding that "it is not exceptional that there are no keys in the center of a kiosk."

For this reason, he urges that measures be taken so that keys of all the points of sale integrated in its scope of action are never lacking.

In the complaint, CSIF asks the Labor Inspectorate that, in addition to sanctioning the infractions that the management of the company in Madrid could have incurred for these events, the delivery of updated and timely information on all changes that may occur with respect to workplaces, with assigned point of sale, hours and days of rest for workers.
