The government launches Thursday a mobile application to enroll directly in training without going through an intermediary, in order to take off the vocational training that the French have little use.

Edouard Philippe, on the campus of the car of Guyancourt (Yvelines) then Muriel Pénicaud at the Forum des Halles in Paris, will promote the new device.

With the app "moncompteformation" downloadable on smartphone, but also the website moncompteformation.fr, the Ministry of Labor relies heavily on a tool that comes to finalize the reform of this sector adopted a year ago.

"The app allows a democratization of training," says the entourage Muriel Pénicaud while the current system is unanimously criticized for its complexity.

Since 1 January, the personal training account (CPF) is no longer supplied in hours but in euros. The account is credited with 500 euros per year (800 for unskilled employees), within the limit of 5,000 euros (8,000).

The idea of the executive is to encourage the French to learn throughout life, while trades evolve, some have difficulty recruiting and unemployment remains high in France.

Developed by Caisse des Dépôts, the app will allow each employee to know his rights, find, book and pay the training of his choice.

The current average amount available on a CPF is 1.040 euros, according to the ministry. The maximum is 3,240 euros for those who have never used either their CPF or their DIF (right to training enjoyed by employees before 2014).

The average amount of the 100,000 training sessions available is around 1,400 euros. These are diploma or certification courses. Once the training has been chosen, the training organization will have 48 hours to respond.

But employers and unions question an individual project, with the risk that employees squander their euros in training that would not be useful.

In the spring, companies and communities will however be able to supplement the employees' account to favor certain training courses. It will also be possible in a few months to record and evaluate the courses taken.

According to the executive, 25 million employees and jobseekers have a CPF. In April, this will also be the case for three million independents. The goal is that one million people use it each year.
