The district court considers that the man deliberately shot, but that the action was not planned. The deed must be considered less serious because the man must have shot to protect himself. The shooting happened after he was forced to make a series of quick decisions in a situation he was completely unprepared for.

The man will also pay SEK 36,600 in damages to the estate.

In April, a man drove off the road in Kristinehamn and died shortly afterwards. It turned out he had been shot. According to the 65-year-old man suspected of murder, the shots that hit the victim were unintentionally fired during a fight for the gun at the 65-year-old's house.
