“The relevant information was sent to employers, authorities and agencies providing benefits, or provided to the pre-pensioners themselves in the client services of the Pension Fund, personal account or MFC,” the PFR press service said in a statement.

The benefits that Russians can apply for five years before retiring include two days off per year allocated for medical examination, which the employer must provide.

At the same time, pre-pensioners receive a guarantee of employment on a par with pregnant women. So, they cannot be dismissed or not accepted for work because of age.

It is noted that in the event that pre-pensioners fail to find a job, they can expect an increased unemployment benefit in the amount of 11,280 rubles.

Earlier, the director of the department of employment of the Ministry of Labor of Russia Mikhail Kirsanov said that the retraining program for citizens of pre-retirement age will be evaluated by the number of people who got a job.

It was reported that at least 85% of retrained people should be employed.

In July, the Ministry of Labor proposed options for unemployment benefits for 2020.
