Snow, storm surges, rain and strong winds: on the day when Venice tries to return to normal, Italy is still plagued by bad weather. Arno Emergency in Florence, and in the Bolognese area for the Rhine and the Idice. In Venice (where schools reopen today) high water has reached 155 centimeters. In Modena in 10 thousand without electricity and gas. Alarm also in Campania. Schools closed in Pisa, Caserta and Bolzano.

VENETO - After yesterday's last rainfall, a break is expected, with no precipitation until this evening. Subsequently a new deterioration is expected which will continue tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Decentralized Functional Center of the Civil Protection of the Veneto has issued a new criticality notice, valid until 8pm tonight declaring the State of Pre-alarm (Orange Alert) on the Alto Piave, Piave Pedemontano, Alto Brenta Bacchiglione Alpone, Basso Piave Sile Basin Drain in the Lagoon, Livenza Lemene Tagliamento. The State of Attention has been declared on the Basso Brenta Bacchiglione Basin. "We are facing an emergency still in progress, although an improvement in the weather is expected tomorrow. In addition to the drama of Venice, other territories of the Veneto are in disastrous conditions, such as the beaches and various mountain areas, starting with those already affected by the Vaia storm We are following the situation minute by minute and we will do it until the situation really returns to normality Eastern Veneto and Montagna are in great pain We have the coast destroyed and in The mountains, the level of the lakes, the situation of landslides and the avalanche risk are of concern, we are still waiting for the flood of the Piave, which now has a considerable flow, around 1400 cubic meters per second, but less than that of last year". This picture of a situation defined as "dramatic even beyond the drama of Venice" was made last night by the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, who presided over a summit of the Crisis Unit of the Regional Civil Protection, in Ponte di Piave, flanked by the Councilor for Civil Protection, Gianpaolo Bottacin and by the Director of the Region's Environmental and Territory Protection Area, Nicola Dell'Acqua. "The damage in these areas is enormous - said Zaia - and it will be necessary to activate all the necessary procedures, the declaration of the state of crisis, that of emergency. In this case also a commissioner management with powers and funds will be needed, because our beaches must return more beautiful than before in time for the new summer season. The same must be for the mountain "." "Our forecasting systems - added Zaia - are technically the most up-to-date in Italy. We wanted it working year after year and I do not accept that they are born like the mushrooms of prizes Nobel of meteorology or hydraulics who talk and write too much at random. The forecasts say that tomorrow the weather will improve, but what will have to be understood if and for how long the scirocco will remain, because until it pulls this wind, the sea does not receive, which means high tide in Venice and swollen rivers ".

ALTO ADIGE - 180 teams of firefighters engaged in 833 interventions just yesterday, 51 roads closed throughout South Tyrol. This is the balance drawn last night by the commander of the Fire Brigade Florian Alber who coordinated the Provincial Situation Center at the Civil Protection Agency. During the afternoon, both the Brenner motorway and the Val Pusteria state road were reopened to traffic, and the Val Venosta state road closed in Castelbello due to a rockfall. Until 9 am this morning, the Val Venosta railway between Merano and Malles, as well as the Val Pusteria railway between Fortezza and San Candido, is closed to all trains. Instead, the problem that caused the closure of the Brenner railway line between Fortezza and the state border, where a medium-voltage line had fallen on the tracks, was solved.

300 White Cross operators active throughout the territory, 7 geologists are constantly monitoring the situation, particularly in the Venosta Valley in Naturns and Vezzano. The state of civil protection remains active on the pre-alarm level (good - orange) at least until 12 noon today.

EMILIA ROMAGNA
The Regional Civil Protection on Saturday had issued a red alert for the central eastern areas of the region, due to problems related to flooding of swollen rivers due to the abundant rains foreseen. And the forecasts were confirmed, with the important floods occurring on the rivers Secchia, Panaro, Naviglio, Tiepido in the Modena area and Samoggia, Sillaro, Savena, abandoned Savena, Idice, Navile, Quaderna, Santerno and Senio in Bologna and Ravenna.

The most critical situations occurred in Budrio, in the Bologna area, where the Idice broke the embankment for an extension of more than 40 meters, making it flow towards the countryside - it is estimated - about 1 million cubic meters of water. Operations are already underway to be able to rebuild the collapsed bank, with a forecast of works whose duration is estimated to be around 3 days. Following the route, it was necessary to evacuate about 200 people, who are accommodated in facilities already made available. Other breakages, already restored, occurred on the Quaderna and on the Santerno, presumably due to the presence of animal burrows. The floods, on the different hydraulic lattices, are now moving towards the provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna. In two days there were about 20 thousand disconnections from electric utilities, especially in the Apennines, and network operators have already restored around 10 thousand, and plan to complete restoration work by evening. The red alert remains in force, also because today new rains are expected, even if of lower intensity than those fallen in the last hours. However, the technicians point out that the volumes of water will be added to the floods of today, due for disposal.

TUSCANY

The red code for hydrogeologous and hydraulic risk remains for the lower Valdarno and the Grosseto area until midnight today, Monday 18 November, following the transit of the Arno and Ombrone Gorssetano floods into their terminal sections. The weather conditions remain negative, humid and moderately unstable currents continue to flow and for tomorrow a new deterioration is expected with widespread rains already in the morning, more abundant from the afternoon even if less intense than last night. Occasional thunderstorms only. At the same time, the hydraulic surveillance of the technical personnel and of the components of the civil protection system in relation to the transit of floods and to the preventive measures activated continues. Until midnight today the orange code remains for hydrogeological and hydraulic risk for the basins affected by the event in particular compared to the upper and central Valdarno, the Bisenzio and the Ombrone Pistoiese, the Val di Cecina and the Maremma. Yellow code on the rest of Tuscany The sea will be up to rough off north of Elba. Sea very rough elsewhere.

LAZIO - The Regional Functional Center yesterday issued a bulletin that reports a criticality rating yellow code for hydraulic and hydro-geological risk for possible ground effects due to the past adverse weather event on the following Lazio alert areas: North Coastal Basins, Medium Basin Tiber, Apennines of Rieti, Rome, Aniene, South Coastal Basins and Basin of Liri from yesterday evening for 24-36 hours. The Permanent Operations Room of the Lazio Region has issued an alert for the Regional Civil Protection System and invited all the structures to adopt all the obligations of competence. Finally, remember that for any emergency the population will be able to refer to the municipal Civil Protection structures to which the Regional Operations Room will guarantee constant support. Roma Capitale's Environment Department has been working tirelessly since Saturday to limit the inconvenience caused by bad weather as much as possible. The teams of the Environment Department are operating 24 hours a day both on the road and on the green to remove branches, trees and debris and to handle requests for intervention. Up to this point, 80 safety measures have already been completed and 40 for which work is in progress. The local Roma Capitale Police has assisted the Fire Brigade in a hundred interventions: for the safety of the areas hit by intense rains, which have caused flooding but are now being resolved; due to the fall of branches, it causes strong wind; to help citizens involved in road accidents. Different areas of intervention: Vitinia area, Via del Mare, Via Eroi di Cefalonia, Via di Decima, Via dei Pescatori, Via Idroscalo, Via C. Colombo, Via Wolf Ferrari, Via Ostiense, Via Pontina, Via Boccea, Via Portuense and P.le della Radio; Porta Furba and Anagnina area, Via Alessandrino and Via Acqua Bullicante, Piazza Bologna area, Viale Policlinico and Viale Ippocrate; Monteverde, Donna Olimpia, Aurelia, Cassia, Braccianese, La Storta, several stretches of the Lungotevere (in particular Lung.re de Cenci and in Sassia). In Via Pieve Fosciana, Magliana area, the fall of parts of a cornice made it necessary to displacement of some parked vehicles (area from civ. 78 to civ. 84 was cordoned off by the VVF). I removed and recovered a fallen tree in Via Ragusa and one at street number 750 of Via Tuscolana. Approximately 120 interventions on the trees and a hundred those on the floods carried out also by the Civil Protection of Roma Capitale.
