Questioned in a case of pedophilia, Jonzac's former surgeon (Charente-Maritime), Joel Le Scouarnec, is now covered by 184 complaints, according to the public prosecutor of La Rochelle. The prosecution states that there are in fact 250 potential victims of non-prescribed facts that have been identified.

The discovery is chilling: during a search of the home of Joel Le Scouarnec, investigators exhumed under the floor a collection of wigs, sex toys, photos of the naked surgeon, but also dolls, child pornography, and especially they find a notebook, a kind of diary, with sordid content.

Texts and drawings made during the last thirty years describe in detail a long litany of pedophile acts or fantasies. Investigators report more than two hundred names recorded by the retired surgeon over a 30-year career.

The preliminary inquiry is in progress. It is titanic, it is to find each person designated by the surgeon and to establish if the abuse occurred. Or if it is rather " fantasies " as claimed by Thibaut Kurzawa, the surgeon's lawyer.

Assaults committed "in phase of awakening"

According to the investigators, the children treated in the hospitals where the surgeon was working constituted an " easy breeding ground ". He allegedly committed sexual assault on some of them while " awake " after an operation.

If the facts are true, it could be one of the most important pedophile scandals in France.
