Last year, 45 people were shot dead in Sweden, according to police. In 2017, 43 people lost their lives in fatalities and until November 14 this year the number of fatalities is 32.

- Organized crime depends on segregation, that it has been allowed to continue for too long. The most important thing we do here is to reduce the differences in our society, ”says Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.

Löfven believes that segregation is due to the fact that there is too low employment and too high unemployment in the areas where gang crime occurs.

- But it would have been regardless of who had lived there, if you had put people there who were born in Sweden under the same conditions, then you get the same result, he says.

Löfven: More support in school

Löfven believes that it is the school that must be able to provide support early, that children complete primary and secondary education and thus can see their future.

- The problem is that we have some areas that have big problems with high unemployment, schools where the children do not feel that this is my future and that is why we are investing more now in schools, says Stefan Löfven in Agenda.

The schools that need more support should also receive more support, says the prime minister.

- Young people should see their parents go to work, not be unemployed and think that is what is normal. The normal thing is to go to work, says Löfven.
