It is reported by "STRANA.ua" with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Environment of Ukraine.

It is noted that this happened due to the fact that the Cabinet decided to invalidate Decree No. 560 of June 26, 2019, which established a ceiling tariff for heating and hot water.

The Ukrainian government claims that the cancellation of the decree “will ensure a stable passage of the heating season and eliminate the threat of disconnecting cities from gas due to economically unjustified tariff rates.”

Earlier in Kiev, residents of one of the apartment buildings blocked traffic on Victory Avenue due to lack of heating.

In September, Naftogaz published a list of debtor companies involved in heating Ukrainian cities. Due to the debts accumulated by them, a number of settlements in Ukraine may remain partially or completely without heat in the winter.
