Worn by the success of the World Cup and a high-flying poster, Lyonnaises and Parisiennes will face Saturday at 17:30 for the head of Division 1 in front of a probably record number of supporters.

The poster is enticing. First by the stake of the meeting. Between the untouchable Olympique Lyonnais and his big challenger, the Paris SG, the winner will already be able to put an option on the championship of France.

For the two leaders, 22 points each, walk on their ten competitors of D1, with a single draw each conceded in eight games and six points ahead of the third, Montpellier.

For PSG, which has invested heavily in recent years to dominate women and men, this match is a new opportunity to show that it finally competes with Lyon and its 13 titles of rank.

The suspense is ideal for a championship that enjoys increased exposure since the World Cup in France this summer and the craze around the Blue, halted in the quarterfinals by future US champions.

And precisely, in addition to foreign international (Hegerberg, Maroszan, Dudek, Paredes ...), a good half of the French team that has squirmed Serbia (6-0) on November 9 should be on the field Saturday.

At a minimum, Sarah Bouhaddi, Wendie Renard, Delphine Cascarino and Amel Majri should be aligned on the Lyon side; Grace Geyoro and Marie-Antoinette Katoto Parisian side.

Lyonnaises Amandine Henry and Eugenie Le Sommer, pillars of the Blue and absent in the victory against Serbia (6-0) because of physical glitches, should make their comeback.

Only the Parisienne Kadidiatou Diani, touched on the calf and who "practically did not train of the week" according to its coach Olivier Echouafni, risks not being totally of plumb.

Consequence: the attendance record for a game of D1 female should in all likelihood fall at Groupama Stadium, pregnant where the Lyonnaises play only major matches. A current record of 25,907 spectators and which goes back ... to the previous OL-PSG in April.

The Lyonnaises had at the time squared the Parisiennes (5-0) to kill, once again, the suspense in the league.

The players of the PSG swear that this defeat has served as a lesson.

"I hope we can show during this match that we have learned, that we do not make the same mistakes, we are better prepared now," said Parisian goalkeeper Christiane Endler on Friday.

"If they are one of the best teams in the world, we too, and of course we want to win this game," added the Chilean.
