“Residents of the southern regions who have virtually no winters will disagree with the speed limit, and people will be fined not only for spikes, but also for speeding,” the Duma TV quoted as saying.
He added that in order to save roads, speeding is practiced in Finland, but there they are constantly kept in ice and they are not cleaned to asphalt.
Earlier, RT, referring to a study by Avtodor specialists, wrote that experts came up with a proposal to shorten the life of studded tires.
In addition, for better safety of the road surface, it was proposed to establish a maximum winter speed of 70–80 km / h on all types of roads.
