Act 53 "yellow vests" this Saturday, November 16, the anniversary. In France, almost a year ago to the day, the movement was investing roundabouts to denounce the rise in fuel taxes. This Saturday, the "yellow vests" want to do things big and find the mobilization of the beginnings.

After weeks of mobilization at half mast, the "yellow vests" want to be numerous for the first anniversary of their movement.

More than 140 calls to demonstrate throughout the country, but it is Paris that will concentrate the most actions, with the Champs-Élysées as a goal. The "yellow vests" are no longer returned in numbers since March 16, during a particularly violent act. Since then, the zone is forbidden to them.

A ban that the "yellow vests" expect brave. This is the case of Éric Drouet, a figure of the movement who intends to reach the Champs-Élysées at the end of the day. Previously he calls to block the Parisian device.

In the rest of the country, calls for demonstrations have been launched everywhere. Nantes, Lyon, Montpellier, Marseille, Toulouse with, here, a classic meeting or there a bridge lock. Commercial areas should also be targeted. One of the issues for "yellow vests" will be to make the number.

The police on the alert

For this act 53, it is thus an "exceptional mobilization" of the forces of the order which is planned. The movement of "yellow vests" will remain particularly marked by the many injuries caused by the police and their so-called "intermediate" weapons.

These manifestations of "yellow vests" and their overflows are also at the origin of a new doctrine of policing.

The sacking of Fouquet's and the Arc de Triomphe marks a turning point in the maintenance of the order of the demonstrations. The violence of Saturday, March 16 will also be behind the dismissal of the police chief of Paris.

In the days that follow, the Minister of the Interior also gives new instructions: from now on, the police will not only be in defense, along the processions, but may intervene in small groups inside the demonstrations to extract and control violent individuals.

It is also after this act 18 that motorcycle units will be deployed to repress violent actions.

A doctrine advocating more contact strongly criticized by associations and some doctors because it would be the cause of many injuries caused by the massive use of so-called intermediate weapons such as the LBD, the famous launchers of defense bullets.

According to the count of the Ministry of the Interior, 2 248 people have been injured since the start of the movement against 1797 on the side of the police.

In addition, 313 investigations were opened by the police of the police for voluntary violence against protesters. So far, only two police officers have been sent to correctional services.

■ Where are the claims of " yellow vests "?

A year ago, the movement took shape on the roundabouts against rising fuel, but not only. One of the main demands of the "yellow vests" was a rise in purchasing power. After weeks of social crisis, the government announces a series of measures to boost purchasing power.

The purchasing power of the French has grown by 2.3% this year, the unheard of since 2007. A rise driven by a series of tax cuts, very little inflation and a labor market, which is maintained with more jobs, and a declining unemployment rate. Over one year, the number of job seekers fell by 2%.

The situation has also improved thanks to the exceptional bonus of purchasing power, 600 euros tax-free. Nearly five and a half million employees have benefited from this premium called "Macron". This allocation will be paid again in 2020.

But for "yellow vests", it's far from enough, because other lights remain red.

Side fuel: the price of diesel does not always fall, not. And on the consumption side, commodity prices either, because of the Food Law.

A halftone balance sheet for the "yellow vests" who intend to continue their movement. They will be in the street on December 5, with the unions, to protest against the pension reform.

■ No panic on the Elysee side, but great vigilance

Even if the President of the Republic managed to calm things down with the big debate, the social situation remains tense. At the Élysée, we are attentive to what will happen this Saturday.

" There is no particular fetishism for this anniversary, " they say at the Elysee when a ministerial advisor declares a little fatalistic: " We wait, " implied to see how the day goes. And it is hoped that the measures announced by the president on purchasing power have lowered the "pressure" and will avoid reviving " a dynamic ritual Saturday demonstrations ."

So do not panic, but be careful. Because as Emmanuel Macron recognized in September, what has caused the anger of the "yellow vests" has not disappeared. One of his relatives even lets go: " I'm not going to tell you that I feel the society less eruptive. "

And for good reason: the demand movements are multiplying in the hospital, among students ... not to mention the SNCF and the RATP who called for a strike renewable from 5 December. This date before which Emmanuel Macron wants to " treat every situation, " they say in his entourage.

The president now seems determined not to decay. The proof: its promise to provide answers to hospital staff as early as next week. Events led him to place Act 2 under the sign of "openness".
