November 14, 201921.07 The European Court of Human Rights initiated proceedings against Italy and Germany on the case of the Thyssen Krupp plant in Turin, in December 2007. Relatives of the victims and one of the survivors, Boccuzzi, turned to the Court accusing the two governments of having violated their rights, in particular that of respect for life, because despite the condemnations of the Italian courts of two German managers, they remain at liberty.
