Excessive use of video games, media, and online games is no longer a waste of time. It has started to be taken seriously as a mental disorder that needs diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

Last year, the World Health Organization (WHO) decided to classify video game addiction for the first time as a mental health disorder. For those between the ages of 13 and 25 years.

In a bid to counter video game addiction, the Chinese government has passed a resolution banning online video games for children under the age of 18 between 10 pm and 8 am.

Playing in China will be limited to only three hours a weekend and holidays, and only 90 minutes on the rest of the week.

In the United States, the American Psychiatric Association did not classify video game addiction as a mental or mental disorder, but considered it "a case for further study."

A number of scientific research indicates that video game addiction affects a limited segment of its practitioners. According to the World Health Organization, the symptoms of this addiction are:

1. Loss of control over behavior during play.

2. Giving priority to other activities in life.

3 - continue to play even if this caused serious consequences.

Adolescents, especially schoolchildren under the age of 18, are the main group exposed to satisfactory mobile phone addiction, which preoccupies them with their studies.
