US director Woody Allen has dropped his case against Amazon, which he was suing for breach of contract, after finding an agreement with the Internet giant, according to court documents filed Friday night in a court in New York.

Woody Allen had filed a lawsuit in February against Amazon, which he claimed $ 68 million for ending their commitment on the basis of old accusations against him.

The contours of the agreement reached between the two parties were not disclosed, but sources close to the case told the specialized site Deadline that there was "no winner in the end".

Woody Allen was charged with sexual abuse in 1992 on his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow, who was seven years old at the time. The lawsuits against him were dropped after two separate investigations conducted at the time, over several months.

But Dylan Farrow, backed by her adoptive mother Mia Farrow and her brother Ronan Farrow, has regularly publicly renewed these accusations, especially with the emergence of the #MeToo movement.

They pushed Amazon to cancel the release in the United States of "A rainy day in New York", the director's latest film, with which many American personalities have since distanced themselves.

Woody Allen in particular accused Amazon, in its complaint, of having refused to pay him the 9 million dollars planned for the financing of "A day of rain in New York", projected at the opening of the American film festival of Deauville (France ) in September.

"I think the people who attack me are making a mistake," the 83-year-old filmmaker, who has always denied the accusations of sexual abuse against him, said in an interview with France Inter.
