The third wing of Bordeaux-Bègles Alexandre Roumat, requested by several Top 14 clubs, extended his two-year contract with the UBB for which he is now bound until 2022, announced Friday the club Girondin.

Roumat, 22, an international U20 trained in Biarritz, joined the banks of the Garonne in 2017.

Appointed captain in 2018, the son of the former 2nd international line Olivier Roumat (62 caps) played 38 matches in the Top 14 and 7 of the European Challenge (4 trials in total) in just over two seasons in the Top 14.

Roumat is the fifth player to extend with the current Top 14 dolphin after Australian Kane Douglas (2 years old), Captain Mahamadou Diaby, Cyril Cazeaux and Georgian Lasha Tabidze.
