“Our priority was to establish the identities of the victims, to maintain respect for the victims and to support the friends and families of the victims,” quoted the press service of the department, Assistant Police Chief Tim Smith.
He emphasized that the relatives of all the victims were notified of the incident.
Among the dead are 24 men and five women, as well as 10 adolescents under 20 years of age.
The authorities of Great Britain and Vietnam are currently resolving the issue of repatriation of the bodies of the dead.
