- People have understood that something has happened, but we haven't received that much information. In here it has been quite quiet, Ida Håkansson tells SVT News.
The ship was on its way from Stockholm to Helsinki on Wednesday evening when it crashed. It would later move on to Saint Petersburg. 1065 people are on board the ship.
- We just received a message that there are technical problems, but no more details. So people have been walking around on the deck trying to see what has happened.
Ida says that she and her partner did not understand that the ship was gone until they read about it on the news.
- My partner and I were in the cab when the light went out. We felt a thump, or a pitch when the electricity went out completely. But when we went out to ask what happened they just said it was a generator problem.
