But the global IT giant Microsoft will take out a large energy source from the Swedish electricity grid to its server halls, no doubt about that. Access to energy and our Nordic climate are the simple reason why you have applied here. And that you got to buy land in Ersbo and Sandviken of course.

- Sweden has a long and established process for everyone who wants to connect to the electricity grid. We have been talking for several years to prepare this. The planning process is very important to ensure that both Microsoft and society's energy needs are met now and in the future, says Paul Englis.

From secret making to public

At the same time, the building at Ersbo in Gävle is in full swing. On the 130 hectare site, the server halls are starting to take shape. And from having been a project surrounded by mystery making, you are now entering a new phase.

- In any case, the public sector. Work has been going on for so many years to land this establishment. But for the Gävle residents and Gävle's companies, this was the first contact that took place today with Microsoft, says Åsa Wiklund Lång (S), chairman of the municipal council in Gävle.
