05 November 2019 "We were doing the first check when at a certain point I don't know what happened, I don't remember anything and I found myself on the ground". So Graziano Luca Trombetta, one of the firefighters who was injured in the explosion in the Quargnento farmhouse, recalls those terrible moments in which three of his colleagues died.

"We were carrying out a first check - the fireman repeats, who in the explosion was hit from behind by a beam - at a certain point I didn't understand anything. I didn't even realize where the 'bang' had come from and I found myself on the ground ".

Owner father, uninhabited farmhouse for two years
"I'm sorry for those dead kids, you don't have to die working." Thus the elderly father of the owner of the Quargnento farmhouse, in the Alessandria area, where last night an explosion killed three firefighters.

The man went with his wife to the rubble of the building where his son Giovanni lived. "He bought it and put it in order, my son is fond of horses, like my nephew, and he made two horses." Until two years ago, when he moved to Alexandria and put the big house up for sale, without succeeding.

"What idea did I get? None - the father adds - I didn't talk to my son. I heard what had happened to the TV, then some relatives from Puglia phoned me. I only know that the house - he repeats - was uninhabited, the detached current ".

The man says that his son "was an entrepreneur, he worked with programs". "Another thing I really can't say", concludes the man.
