Day of military intelligence in the Armed Forces of Russia is celebrated on November 5.
Shoigu noted that at the moment, “military intelligence is a powerful and effective tool for protecting” Russia's national interests.
“Its personnel worthily continues the traditions of their predecessors, makes a significant contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of Russia, showing dedication and exceptional courage,” the minister said.
He added that veterans of military intelligence deserve special words of appreciation, their experience and knowledge are in demand, they help to train specialists of the highest level for the Russian Armed Forces.
In October, the Russian Ministry of Defense congratulated servicemen on Military Telecommunications Day and on the 100th anniversary of the formation of communications troops.
