Adam is only 19 years old - but he is already a veteran of the Swedish drug market. Today, he is one of several leaders of a criminal gang and has earned millions on his crime.

- When I was a kid, I never thought I would push drugs and stuff. It just became that way, then you're stuck.

Adam grew up with a single and unemployed mother in a socially vulnerable area.

It all started when Adam was 13 and selling drugs to his cousins. Only two years later he started selling to himself. Helping the family financially was a strong driving force.

- My life got better from selling drugs. But on the other hand, I created enemies, people who want to see me dead. I have to go masked every time I'm out and have to carry weapons sometimes. Because when you have been threatened by people who are as serious as yourself, the one who then says "I am not afraid", he is lying, Adam says.

Ahmed, 17: "They can kill for a small sum"

Several people share Adam's story: young guys are being exploited by the elderly in an increasingly desperate drug market. Jacob Fraiman, President of the Young Crisis, Criminal Revenge in Society, develops:

- In the past there may have been more to the criminals. Not everyone was fighting for the same cake. There was more cash, banks and transport you could rob. Today it is the drug trade that everyone is doing. It will be a lot of territory, and where you are not allowed to sell. Then there will be a lot of conflicts.

If they fail to sell enough, it can be dangerous. 17-year-old Ahmed tells:

- I was not afraid of my life, but thought what they could do to my family. They can kill for a small sum.

Want to get out of the crime

Both Ahmed and Adam want to stop selling drugs and get out of the crime - and they are not alone. SVT's Agenda has met several young guys who have contacted KRIS for help. Ahmed has also stopped selling drugs after getting help.

- If I'm so good at selling drugs, why don't I open a company where I sell legal goods? Because I really want to change my mind. Otherwise I wouldn't have been here today, says Adam when SVT meets him inside Kris's premises.

Jacob Fraiman, chairman of the Young Crisis, the criminals' revenge in society, wants to prevent more young guys from entering the drug market.

- We have to go down the ages and create these safe individuals, who do not go in, and seek affiliation. Who have dreams of the future and do not think that they are limited because they come from a vulnerable area.

Therefore, Agenda addresses the drug issue as the driving force behind gang crime.
