The Israeli occupation authorities have recently stepped up their policy of seizing large areas of Palestinian land in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.

In Hebron, the Israeli occupation forces started yesterday to raze large areas of Palestinian land in Beit Ummar in favor of a settlement road passing through the area.

The occupation declared a closed military zone, preventing farmers and landowners from reaching the place.

The land is currently owned by the families of Safi and Salibi. The area is estimated at 90 dunums planted with almond and vine trees.

The maps and settlement expert, Abdul Hadi Hantash, told WAFA that the settlement road, which began in his apartment, extends several kilometers at the expense of fertile agricultural lands, starting from the "Ezion" junction, north of Hebron, through the house of Al-Baraka opposite Al-Arroub refugee camp, and through the natural reserve «Mount Century» located Between Beit Ummar and al-'Arroub, through the settlement of Karmi Tzur built on the lands of the citizens, to the Nabi Younis junction, northeast of Halhul, to seize 400 dunums of land from Halhul and Beit Ummar.
