“A preliminary investigation is being conducted into the death of a 10-year-old child in the Tatishchevsky district,” the report said.
Previously, the incident occurred on Sunday, November 3, at about 17:00 in the village of Oktyabrsky town near Saratov.
An eyewitness, who was fishing on the opposite bank from the scene, managed to save one of the two boys.
Later, the body of the deceased child was removed from the water by rescuers.
All circumstances of the incident are established.
Earlier in Bashkiria, three children fell through the ice, one of them died.
In October, a man and two young children died in Yamal, falling through the ice during a change of deer pasture.
