The rescue service was alerted to Gröna Lund at 17 o'clock on Sunday after an alarm that a carriage in the roller coaster Vilda Musen had stopped at four meters altitude.

"We helped three people down from the attraction," says Fredrik Dackland, management operator at the Stockholm Rescue Center.

The security system was activated

Annika Troselius, Head of Information at Gröna Lund, tells SVT that two children and one adult got stuck in the rides.

- The car should really stop at a brake, but in this case it stopped in the middle of the rails. From there we could not bring down the guests. Then we have as a routine to contact the rescue service.

She continues:

- When a carriage stops, the safety system is activated, then all other carriages stop at the nearest brake. From there we can take guests down safely via platforms.

Hat had wedged tight

What forced the guests to evacuate from the Wild Mouse later turned out to be a cap that had wedged itself under the wagon.

How long were the guests stuck in the carriage?

- For about 30 minutes. Now we take care of the guests with blankets and something to eat, says Annika Troselius.
