Electrifying! The black jacket and trousers worn by Olivia Newton-John in "Grease" were auctioned Saturday at 405,700 dollars at an auction in the Californian city of Beverly Hills.

Entering the annals of cinema, the musical "Grease" unleashes the passions, more than 40 years after its release.

The high-waisted trousers and black leather jacket Olivia Newton-John is rocking at the legendary "You're the one that I want" left for twice the estimated price, announced the auction house Julien's Auctions in a statement.

"Grease" released in 1978, tells the loves of Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) and Danny (John Travolta), high school students of the 50s, big black jackets.

A signed poster by John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and other members of the film, estimated at $ 1,000, was auctioned at $ 64,000.

A portion of the proceeds from this auction will go to the Olivia Newton-John Center for Cancer Treatment Research, a disease whose actress was reached for the third time in 2018.

The cable channel HBO recently announced the preparation of a series inspired by the world of "Grease", which will include "some songs and characters" of the film.
