November 3rd 2019The second place of Austin delivers, abundantly, the mathematical certainty of the sixth world title to Lewis Hamilton. Success in Texas for Valtteri Bottas, who overtakes his Mercedes mate in the final laps, on the Max Verstappen podium. The Ferrari race was colorless net of the suspension suspension which forced Vettel to retire. Leclerc is fourth without ever competing for the podium. Quinto Albon, protagonist of a great comeback after a touch at the start that immediately forced him to the pits.

Great Hamilton at the start, gains third place. Evil Vettel who, due to set-up problems, moved from the front row to seventh, also passed by Norris and Ricciardo. The German feels the box of difficulties. And on the eighth lap, the right rear suspension crashed and forced him to retire. Low the pace of the other Ferrari, with Leclerc holding the fourth position, but moving away from the leading trio. The first to stop for the tire change is Verstappen (13th lap), with Bottas following him to the next step to avoid the undercut (successful operation). Hamilton delays, as does Leclerc (which continues much slower).

The Monegasque stops on lap 21 and improves performance with 'white' tires. The champion pulls it for four more passes and is overtaken by his teammate before the break. Returns to third place at 20 "from the first two, but shortens quickly. Verstappen shuffles the cards and plays the medium compound on lap 35. Bottas copies it a lap later and Hamilton takes the lead. The duo shortens quickly against the British.

Leclerc, now consolidated in fourth place, gives itself a last stint of a dozen laps with fresh tires and takes the fastest lap. In front is a tight fight between Hamilton and Bottas. Five laps from the finish the Finn engages the duel: first attempt with the British who closes the curve accompanying the rival outside; at the second Bottas passes power on the straight and gains the victory.
