This statement was issued by the Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists.

“They (media workers. - RT ) are still subjected to physical violence, including shelling of Russian correspondents in the south-east of the country by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a regular basis,” the department said.

They added that there is still no progress in the investigation into the murders of Anatoly Klyan, Anton Voloshin, Igor Kornelyuk, Andrey Stenin, Andrea Rokkelli, Oles Buzina, Sergei Dolgov, Vyacheslav Veremii, Pavel Sheremet and others.

As it became known earlier, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine for the first nine months of 2019 recorded 55 attacks on media workers in the country.
