Hundreds of demonstrators marched in Paris, Rennes or Bordeaux, near the first anniversary of the movement of "yellow vests".

Several hundred "yellow vests" marched Saturday in several cities in France, for their 51st Saturday mobilization, while their "Assembly of Assemblies" to discuss the future of the movement, was held in Montpellier. The date of November 17 - which saw the first demonstration of "yellow vests" a year ago - is at the heart of the discussions of this fourth "Assembly of Assemblies", which began Friday and lasts until Sunday in the capital of Hérault. But Saturday, the mobilization was relatively weak: in Paris, a few hundred "yellow vests" marched between the Place d'Italie and the Gare du Nord, where they arrived at 16H.

The march was uneventful, accompanied by a large police force, as is now the case every time for the Parisian rallies. The protesters picked up the usual slogans aimed at Emmanuel Macron or the police and some held banners referring to Chile, where a major social movement is underway.

A hundred protesters in Bordeaux, 200 in Rennes

In Bordeaux, more than 200 people, according to an AFP journalist - a hundred according to the prefecture - were at the rendezvous this Saturday. Some wore a yellow vest but more were wearing umbrellas, the rain began to fall continuously from 15H.

A handful of flags, a RIC sign (citizens' initiative referendum), usual slogans - "We're here, we're here", "Bordeaux, Bordeaux, get up!" - punctuated this event. But the mobilization was slightly down compared to the last Saturdays. No incident or arrest was reported by the prefecture around 17H. Finally, in Rennes, 200 to 300 "yellow vests" demonstrated in the city center. A shopping center was closed about 45 minutes after the intrusion of about thirty protesters.
