The release of two chiefs of a mafia clan was received with a large fireworks party in Monterusciello , a neighborhood known for drug trafficking in western Naples , several Italian media reported on Saturday.

The members of Camorra Giovanni Illiano , 48, and Silvio De Luca , 41, had just finished their sentences of 8 and 10 years in jail respectively, for extortion crimes .

To celebrate their departure, more than a hundred relatives and friends waited for them this Thursday night with a big party with champagne, disco lights and fireworks . In addition, they hired a popular singer who dedicated several songs to the gangsters.

The fact, documented with photos and videos sent through social networks, is being investigated by the Italian Police.
