“Unknown fired several shots”: what is known about the murder in Moscow of the head of Center “E” in Ingushetia

On Saturday, November 2, shooting occurred in the west of Moscow, as a result of which Ibragim Eldzharkiev, the head of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Republic of Ingushetia, was killed. This was reported in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

A criminal case has been instituted in accordance with Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons). At the moment, investigators and criminologists are working at the crime scene. The second dead is Eldzharkiev’s brother.

Reports of shooting in the Russian capital appeared around 19:30. The incident occurred on the street of Academician Anokhin. TASS also informed, citing a law enforcement source, that the police are searching for three men.

In this case, only one of them fired. This was stated by a representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, Yuri Titov.

Tonight, in the courtyard of the house on Anokhin Street, an unknown man shot several men, one of the dead was the head of the Central Intelligence Center of Ingushetia, the second was his brother,” TASS reports Titova.

It is reported that at the scene are the head of the Main Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow Oleg Baranov, and. about. In addition, TASS sources in law enforcement said the killer allegedly used the Glock pistol, a conclusion drawn from cartridges and bullets found at the crime scene.

Information also appeared that the murder could have been ordered and related to the professional activities of the deceased head of the center for countering extremism in Ingushetia. The video, which allegedly captures the moment of the crime, shows how the killer fires several shots, including a control shot in the head.

The attacker hid in a car. According to RIA Novosti, we are talking about a black Volkswagen or BMW. TASS reported that the alleged killer of Eldzharkiyev threw a car at the Universitet metro station, but later it turned out that the car was not related to the incident. In addition, the agency, citing a source, noted that the attackers could already leave Moscow.

Not the first attempt

It is worth noting that this is not the first attempt on Eldzharkiyev this year. The previous attack on the head of the Center for Countering Extremism (CPE) in the Republic of Ingushetia occurred on January 12. On the car in which Eldzharkiyev was located, unknown persons opened fire from the machine gun. That time he was not injured.

Ibrahim Eldzharkiev headed the center for countering extremism in Ingushetia in December 2016, after previous leader Timur Khamkhoev was detained on charges of torture. Later, the court found Khamkhoev and several other employees of the center guilty and sentenced him to real prison terms of six to ten years, and also stripped them of their ranks.
