by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea November 1, 2019In Vietnam, the police arrested two people for trafficking in human beings, suspected of being involved in the death of 39 migrants found dead on the night between 22 and 23 October in a refrigerated truck in Essex, in UK. Many of the migrants, if not all of them, should be of Vietnamese nationality.

The arrests were carried out in the central Vietnamese province of Ha Tinh and no details were provided on the two arrested, for whom the accusation is of "illegal immigration organization". Those arrested are suspected of having organized the journey of death, after 10 families had reported the disappearance of their loved ones following the discovery of the horror truck. The deputy chief of the provincial police, Colonel Nguyen Tien Nam reported that the suspects are directly involved in organizing the journey of migrants who had paid traffickers to reach England.

Pam Thi's brother Tra My , the 26-year-old victim in the Tir of horror told that her sister: "He had paid 30 thousand pounds to the traffickers". The young Pam Thi Tra My before dying had warned her family with a piercing message: " I'm really very, very sorry, mom and dad, my journey to a foreign land has failed. I'm dying. I can't breathe. I love you "I'm so sorry. Mom ."

In Ireland, a 22-year-old was arrested. The Essex authorities, who had issued a euro arrest warrant against him on charges of manslaughter, initiated extradition proceedings. A spokesman for the High Court in Dublin said the man, Eamonn Harrison, from Newry in Northern Ireland appeared in court and will remain in custody until the hearing until the hearing on 11 November.
