The North American National Basketball League Thursday inflicted two suspension matches on Joel Embiid, inside Philadelphia, and Karl Anthony Towns, the pivot of Minnesota, after their fight on Wednesday.

These suspensions respond to "an altercation on the ground and escalation of their actions after the incident," said NBA Vice President Kiki VanDeWeghe.

After exchanging words, violently pushed back and hung, Embiid and Towns fell on the floor, without being able to hit each other, in the third quarter of the match won by the 76ers (117-95).

Followed a scrum involving several players, including Ben Simmons who blocked Towns by trapping his arm around the shot, and members of the technical coaching of each team, including Sixers coach Brett Brown. No one was hurt.

None of them were sanctioned by the NBA, who felt that those involved had acted to calm the spirits, not to participate in the fight or excite the two players.

Excluded by the referees, Joel Embiid, who finished with 19 points in 20 minutes, went to his bench of substitutes showing himself particularly joking with one of his teammates. He will miss the team's move to Portland on Saturday and the Phoenix one on Monday.

Karl Anthony Towns will not be playing in Washington on Saturday or against Milwaukee on Monday.
