This was reported by RBC with reference to the draft government resolution prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development.

It is expected that with the introduction of the new assessment system, the quality of poverty statistics in Russia will improve.

So, the Federal State Statistics Service, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Economic Development, from 2020 will compare the data on the level of poverty with the information that is available in the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) and the Federal Tax Service (FTS).

It is reported that Rosstat data will be combined with information from the Federal Tax Service and the FIU.

In addition, Rosstat will analyze data on three target groups: families with children under the age of 18, citizens of the older generation, and women with children.

Earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service said that the share of households in Russia grew, whose income is enough for food and clothing, but not enough for the purchase of durable goods.
