The Dubai Police General Directorate of Traffic has implemented six measures to reduce traffic violations, including a package of sophisticated techniques to control recklessness, as well as incentive initiatives to encourage drivers to abide by the traffic law and innovative awareness programs.

Al Mazrouei stressed the keenness of the Dubai Police Commander, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, to involve members of the community in various traffic initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety of road users, including the initiative «reduce traffic violations» unique that rewards drivers committed retroactively based on their commitment to He pointed out that the initiative has achieved very good results in terms of the number of violations and accidents.

He added that the administration has implemented six measures to reduce the abuses committed by some drivers, the first is to increase the number of speed control radars and red-light monitoring devices on important streets and in the most densely populated areas, and secondly the deployment of devices to monitor dangerous violations that cause fatal accidents, including crossing the shoulder.

He pointed out that the third measure is the development of “followers” ​​devices concerned with controlling drivers who are not committed to the compulsory route. Therefore, Dubai Police has been keen to provide adequate protection for members of the community. He explained that the practices monitored by the administration as well and cause obstruction and congestion of the parking of some vehicles in the yellow box at the intersections, especially at peak times, so I worked in a fourth action to deter drivers of these vehicles and release immediate violations.

He pointed out that the sixth measure is to motivate drivers to adhere to, and avoid reckless driving through the initiative "deduction of traffic violations", which rewards anyone who commits to deduct a percentage of traffic violations committed before the initiative, which was implemented in early February, and is scheduled to continue for a period A year, and then carefully study its results to consider the possibility of extending it.
