The alarm came at 09.46. The accident, with several passenger cars, should have occurred on E18 in the northbound lane at exit 118 at the height of Högbo, east of Glanshammar.
Emergency services are on their way to the site.
The road is completely closed during the rescue work, the Swedish Transport Administration states.
