This is reported by the newspaper "Izvestia" with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

It is expected that such a punishment will be included in the new version of the Code of Administrative Violations (CAO), which is planned to enter into force in 2021.

It is noted that initially it was expected that the corresponding bill would be submitted to the State Duma in the current autumn session, but the bill submitted in May to the government was returned to the department. This decision was justified by the development of a new Code of Administrative Offenses.

The Cabinet confirmed to the publication that they had returned the draft amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses to the Ministry of Industry and Trade “to conduct an analysis on the subject of its compliance with the concept of the new Code of Russia on administrative offenses”. Now the document is expected in the government in October.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma committee on transport and construction, Alexander Vasiliev, in an interview with Nation News, commented on reports of fuel underfilling at every fifth gas station in Russia.
