At the same time, it is noted that Croatia “it will be necessary to continue work on the implementation of all current measures, in particular in the field of external border management”.
“I believe that Member States will take the right steps so that Croatia will soon become a full member of the Schengen area,” said EC President Jean-Claude Juncker.
In July, Croatia sent an official letter of intention to join the European exchange rate mechanism ERM 2 and the European Banking Union.
