The king of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn, has stripped his royal consort of his titles and military ranks, according to a palace statement.

Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi, 34, had violated a code of conduct for the courtiers and was disloyal to the king, the text said.

The announcement came a few months after the king named her Royal Noble Consort in July.
