The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 10 per cent each year during the period 2020-2030. Nationally, Sweden has a target of a corresponding reduction of 5-8 per cent to reach the goals in the Paris Agreement.

- If you, as an individual, want to reduce your carbon dioxide emissions, you can first and foremost look at how large emissions you have and in what areas, says Karin Thomasson (MP), chairman of the Climate Council.

The strategy includes five specially-focused areas of focus in the county where efforts need to be made to reach the goals: Fossil-free transport and work machines, the forest as a resource and coal sump, renewable energy, climate-smart foods and sustainable consumption.
