Three people were arrested Sunday after the collapse of a dam in Siberia on Saturday, the Russian authorities announce.

This includes the owner of the Russian mining company Sissim. The foreman and manager of the gold mine have also been arrested.

The trio is suspected of having been negligent by not complying with all safety regulations during the construction of the dam.

The dam fracture occurred approximately 160 kilometers south of the city of Krasnoyarsk. In the accident, 15 people were killed and 14 injured on Saturday. At least five people are still missing.

A Russian commission of inquiry is currently investigating the exact cause of the dam fracture. According to a local official, heavy rainfall caused erosion on the dam, causing it to break.
