The bodies were found on Sunday morning aboard Silja Europa, which was then in port in Estonia's capital Tallinn. According to the police, there were no signs of violence on the bodies, writes Swedish Yle.

- Two people were found dead who died on board. At present, there are no links between these two cases, the case is handed over to Estonian police, ”says Tallink Silja's Swedish press contact Oscar Brehmer to SVT News.

"A pure coincidence"

The persons must have been in different societies. It is currently unclear what happened to the 25-year-old woman and the 21-year-old man who are both from Finland.

Tallink Silja's communications director Marika Nöjd describes the event as "a pure coincidence" for Swedish Yle.

- Usually when someone dies it is an older person. Now it seems to be a mere coincidence. They did not travel in the same company, says Marika Nöjd.
