It would have been killed by Giuseppe Guadagnuolo, a 54-year-old Lametino: according to the military investigation, the man would have tailed his ex-wife and then reached Pino, when he was driving home after spending the evening with the woman .

At that point, the Carabineri say, Guadagnuolo, blinded by jealousy, would have fired three pistol shots at the ex-prison guard, a 7.65 caliber illegally detained, hitting him in the chest.
