The two cities met with Voi in August. The company then told about its interest in starting rental of its electric scooter bikes in both cities this fall.

"We have continued talks with Norrköping and Linköping and look forward to rolling out our fleet," says Sofie Cederberg, communicator at the power company Voi.

This year or next?

- We want to hear with Voi if they start their rental this year or next and will try to have a reconciliation with them this week, says Andreas Lundqvist, traffic planner at the Community Building Office.

- Yes, it is not yet decided when the rental will start, but most likely it will be early this spring, says Sofie Cederberg.

Agreement for the benefit of both

In Norrköping, the municipality now puts the finishing touches on its declaration of intent.

- It is not a requirements list, but points out what is the municipality's responsibility and not, says Andreas Lundqvis.

The company does not need the approval of the municipality, but wants to cooperate and have a reciprocity around the new vehicle.

No requirements list

Limitations are not yet formulated, but are intended to comply with local traffic regulations.

- Plus how to put away the electric scooter, so that it is not in the way of walking and so on, says Andreas Lundqvist. The document should clarify the division of responsibilities between the municipality and the electricity park rental, he says.
