Once again, Algerians took to the streets for the 35th Friday in a series of cities across the country. They continue to demand a total change of the system in place, at the head of the country. On Friday, they also demanded the release of protesters still detained.

The mobilization was felt in Algiers, Tizi Ouzou, Mostaganem and other cities. The demonstrators continue to demand the departure of the chief of staff of the army, strongman of the country, as well as to oppose the presidential scheduled for December 12, 2019. This Friday, they also protested against a project of Hydrocarbons Act and also called for the release of the imprisoned protesters.

" The people are no longer fooled "

Tarek protested in Oran. He feels solidarity with the detainees but for him, we must not lose sight of the goal of the movement: " Me, what I want is elections, it's clear. The people are no longer fooled. We do not believe in their maneuvers ... It's the system that tries to regenerate itself. There will be no election with the mafia regime , "he says.

Reacting to the choice of protesters this week, namely " solidarity with detainees ", Tarek explains that this slogan has been around since incarceration began.

" It's a maneuver of the regime to somehow dilute our claims. We wanted a transition and from there, they created a problem in the problem. So, there is talk of release of detainees. We are in solidarity with the "Hirak" because it could be me or anyone. We pay the price of our audacity so that one day we have a better Algeria, but we must not deviate from the first claim which is a total change of regime, "he adds.

Dismantle the " system "

Since they had the resignation, on April 2, of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the supporters of the "Hirak" movement of unprecedented protest of the regime born on February 22, continue to demonstrate every week to demand the dismantling of the " system " in power since the independence of Algeria, in 1962.
